A Tribute to Papa Shidali Papa Shidali was a true example of a life that reflected Christ. Every time I encountered him in church, I was reminded that serving God is not only about what we say, but about how we live. One of the greatest gifts he gave me was his constant encouragement to pray. Whenever we met, he would encourage me to take everything to God in prayer and to keep trusting Him. His words carried hope and assurance. He was always optimistic, and I will never forget his familiar words: “It will be well with you (yoo daa fin yin).” Those words brought comfort, especially during moments when I needed encouragement. Papa Shidali was passionate about the Gospel. He continuously shared Gospel literature and books he had written, which he said came through the inspiration God gave him. He was committed to spreading the Word and using his God-given gifts to encourage others in their walk with Christ. His life was a testimony of faith, prayer, perseverance, and hope. He did not merely tell people about Christ—he exemplified Christ through his character, kindness, encouragement, and devotion to God. I am grateful to God for the privilege of knowing Papa Shidali and for every encounter we had in church. His words, his books, his prayers, and his example will remain a lasting reminder to keep trusting God and to never stop praying. Though we mourn his passing, we also celebrate a life that touched others and pointed them toward Christ. Papa, thank you for the encouragement, the prayers, the Gospel literature, and most importantly, for showing us what it means to live for Christ. Your voice may be silent, but the seeds you planted in the hearts of many will continue to speak. “It will be well with you.” Rest peacefully in the Lord until we meet again.

“He taught me To pray.”
