Grandpa was more than a teacher and preacher of the Word to me. He was a father. He was a man who welcomed me and treated me like his very own son. His love, kindness, wisdom, and warmth made me feel like I truly belonged. I will always cherish the moments I shared with you—your words, your kindness, your prayers, and the way you cared for me. You did not have to treat me the way you did, but you chose to love me as your own, and that means more to me than words can ever express. You did not only teach me through your words; you taught me through your life. Your kindness, humility, wisdom, and love were a reflection of the values you believed in. You taught me the Word of God, not only by preaching it, but by living it. I am grateful for every lesson, every conversation, every prayer we shared whenever we met, and every phone call we had. Though you will be deeply missed, I find comfort in knowing that you lived a life that pointed people to God. You were a light to many, and I am grateful that I had the privilege of experiencing that light personally. Your voice may be silent now, but the words you taught, the faith you shared, and the love you showed will continue to speak through the lives you touched. Rest well, Grandpa. I am grateful that I got to know you. I am grateful for the love you gave me. I am grateful for every moment, every lesson, every prayer, and every memory. Most of all, I am grateful that God allowed our paths to cross and gave me the privilege of being loved by you like a son. You will forever remain a special part of my life, and I will carry your memory, your teachings, and your love with me always. Rest in peace, Grandpa. Until we meet again.
