Baba Shidali was a good man. A prayerful man. A man who loved Christ sincerely and lived it every day. Even now, what stays with me the most is his final moment. In the hospital, at his last moment, when his strength was almost gone and his consciousness was fading, I asked him to pray for me. And he did. He could barely speak, not with full consciousness, but his spirit still prayed. That was Baba. Even at the edge of life, his heart was still interceding for others. He was always talking about the second coming of Jesus Christ. It was not just preaching to him, it was his hope. He lived ready, he taught us to live ready, and he finished ready. Baba Shidali was kind, gentle, and full of grace. He was a nice person in the true sense of it - the kind of person whose presence brought peace. We did not just lose a father, we lost a prayer warrior. But we take comfort because we know where he is. He has gone to meet the same Christ he preached, the same Christ he waited for. Rest well, Baba Shidali.
