What Chistain Love Means

Pa Shidali truly touched my life. It was through him that I came to understand what Christian love really means. He did not only preach about love; he lived it. I saw it in the way he gave, the way he respected people, the way he tolerated others and, most importantly, in the genuine concern he had for the people around him. I got saved through his preaching in a mud-built classroom during the early days of the Apostolic Faith work in Ilorin. Looking back, I realise what a privilege it was to have encountered a man whose preaching and life had such an influence on my Christian journey. What he preached was not separate from the life he lived. His life itself was a sermon. I will also deeply miss his calls. Pa Shidali had this special way of checking on people. If he did not see us in church, he would call. He would ask after us and make sure everything was alright. Those calls may have seemed simple, but they meant a lot. They showed that he noticed people and genuinely cared about them. Our last call was on July 13, and knowing now that it was our final conversation makes it even more precious to me. I was privileged to be at his bedside some minutes before he passed away on August 16, 2026. I thank God for giving me that opportunity to be with him in those final moments. It is a memory I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Thank you, Papa, for the love, the calls, the prayers, the preaching and the example you left behind. Your life was truly well spent in the service of the Lord. Adieu, Papa. We will miss you dearly, but we hold firmly to the hope that the Rapture will unite us all again. Michael Momoh and Family
