A Pillar and Exemplar of Faith

It is indeed an honor to pen down this eulogy to a great Father, a Pillar of faith and service and a Beacon of God’s Light. Daddy (as I popularly called him), led a life that was totally anchored on faith and love. He modeled it. My own Dad was called to glory when I was still emerging. Daddy (Pa Shidali) assumed his (my Dad’s) role when I finally evolved with my own family. The fatherly advice, chats, and prayers were all nurturing. As a person that was “naturalized” into his family, Daddy truly meant more than a father-in-law to me. He was sincerely a caring father, worthy of emulation by all standards. He was such a humble person, and treated me with utmost respect, always calling me “broda mi”😊❤️. I was not just a son-in-law; I was one of his sons. I am happy I learned a lot from him. When we were sick, he would call and pray for us until we got better. On our birthdays, he called to sing and pray for us. This he did consistently for years of having him as a close family. Daddy was a true Servant of God. He was not spiritually petty. He never preached the doctrines of men. He never judged you. He never dwelt on the traditions of the Church, but the traditions of Christ, the doctrines of Christ, the nature of Christ. His call to glory was indeed a symbolic journey, an emblematic farewell, a celebration of life, a lasting legacy, an end-time reminder to everyone to remember to fight the good fight, to finish the course, and to keep the faith! Adieu, Daddy, Pa Shidali - a true Pillar and Exemplar of Faith.
