Papa you were a person whose love was shown not in big, flashy declarations, but in quiet, everyday actions. Together with grandma, you created a home that was always a place of warmth, comfort, and open doors for family and friends. Some of my favorite memories are the simple, weekend routines that meant everything. Every Friday through Sunday, that was spent at your house, was filled with little moments that showed how deeply you thought of the family. You’d head out to the market, come back with fresh fruit, and slice it up to share with everyone gathered around. Even the holidays carried your special touch. I was just a kid back then, but I still remember how much I loved Christmas at your house. You’d string greeting cards and Christmas lights across the living room, giving everything a warm, magical touch. Above all, Papa, you were a true prayer warrior whose faith covered our family no matter where we were. When we lived in Nigeria, I remember you walking through our house, praying into every single room when we moved in. Even after we moved to Canada, distance changed nothing. You’d call us every single Saturday without fail just to pray over us and speak blessings into our lives. Whenever I was sick, you'd pray for me, teaching me that in every circumstance, we should always pray. When my dad passed away, Papa, you stepped into that void. You became the father figure I needed, teaching me by example what it truly means to be loving, patient, and forgiving. You carried so much love for us in your heart, and that same love will live in mine forever. You didn't make a big fuss about the things you did, serving God and caring for others was simply who you were. While I will miss you more than words can say, I take comfort in knowing you are now in heaven with the ones you spent your whole life faithfully serving. I will always love you forever.
“He taught me patience/ forgiveness /.”
